Guest Information

 

Welcome to The Billi.

The Billi is named after the Indigenous name for the local area; Bilingurr.

We hope you enjoy our relaxed and tropical environment. Please don’t hesitate to come and talk with us about how to get the most out of your stay.

Please let us know immediately if anything is not right for you so we can address your concerns whilst you are here. Your positive experience is our number one priority at all times.

 

Resort Facilities

Reception

Hours are from 8:30am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Saturday and 9:00am to 4:00pm Sunday, unless otherwise stated on the main door.

If we are not in the office during these hours we will be just talking to guests or taking someone to their room and will not be far away. You can always call the main number  9192 1711 if you are unable to wait for a few minutes and this will divert to our mobile.

Contacting The Billi

Please phone the reception on 9192 1711 for all enquiries. If we are not in the office this number will divert automatically to our mobile and messaging service.

Emergency After Hours Only

In the event of an EMERGENCY please phone Amanda on 0419 123 667 or 000 for Fire, Police or Ambulance.

Please DO NOT respond to any mobile texts that you may have received from the main office if you need after hours assistance, as this will go to our computer which is unmanned and your emergency message will not be received until the morning.

Check Out Time

Check out time is 10am. You may request a later check-out in advance with Reception but this is strictly subject to availability. We appreciate your understanding with our need to fully service our rooms in time for arriving  guests. If you are departing before Reception opens at 8:30am please leave your key in our Key Box located at the outside wall of reception (pool side).

Smoking 

Please do not smoke inside. All rooms are strictly non-smoking.

Whilst we respect your right to smoke, we ask that you restrict smoking to your private  outdoor area only. Ashtrays have been provided for you under the sink. In the interest of other guests we also ask that you refrain from smoking in the pool area and any other area of the resort.  A special cleaning fee of $100 will be charged if a guest has been smoking in the villa.

Noise 

We have created a special place for people to come and relax which means that we expect all guests to consider other guests with regard to noise.

Many of our rooms are tented, so this is especially important around those rooms.

All guests have the right to enjoy a peaceful night sleep so we ask that noise is kept inside your villas after 9PM and that the pool area and other common areas are NOT to be used for gatherings after sunset.

No speakers or music is allowed outside of rooms for the benefit of all of our guests. If you wish to gather and enjoy some fun, drinks  and music after dark – please head to one of the many bars, restaurants and beach areas Broome has to offer.

With regard to the tents please be mindful of each other with regard to music or TV. Please keep these down at all times.

Free WIFI is available within the resort.

Lost Keys

Please keep your room keys safe and on you at all times.

Failure to return your key(s) will result in a locksmith call-out fee of up to $300.00. We must provide complete security for all guests so if you lose your key, we will need to get the lock re-barrelled and change over all spare keys for that room.

Air Conditioning

To operate the air conditioner please see instructions located in the manuals folder in the bottom kitchen drawer. The air conditioning systems are designed to work most effectively at temperatures between 22 and 24 degrees. In the interest of the environment, we request that all air conditioners be turned off when you leave your villa.

Barbeques

All Villas and Tents have their own BBQ. Turn the gas on at the cylinder then turn the knob to high and press the ignite button; when finished turn all knobs off and turn the gas bottle tap to off.

Barbeques are cleaned and ready for use upon arrival and we appreciate any assistance you can give our housekeepers in keeping the build-up of cooking fats to be removed on your departure to a minimum.

Please don’t use the non stick utensils on the BBQs as they melt.

If you need a new gas cylinder there are full cylinders located in the guest laundry.

Stovetop

If for any reason your stove top does not heat up, the middle power switch next to the fridge may be turned off. Please ensure this is switched on to allow power to the hotplate.

Cots & High Chairs

Baby cots, high chairs, baby baths are available for hire or loan, please enquire at reception.

Car Parking

Car parking is provided free of charge. Please contact reception in relation to the parking of trailers, boats & caravans. The Billi accepts no responsibility for any theft or damage which may occur whilst your vehicle is on the premises.

Car Rental

Please contact reception should you require a car or scooter hire. As a guest of the Billi you receive a 10% discount off any car hire rates with Broome Broome Car Rentals.

Alternatively, you can contact them directly on 9192 2210 and they will be happy to pick you up to complete your paperwork and collect your vehicle. They will also drop you at the airport when returning your vehicle.

On Site Car

We have a hire car on-site that you can hire for $30 per hour, very handy for a quick duck to the shops or to go and grab a quick brunch (3 hour maximum). Please book with reception giving as much notice as possible as there is just the one for the resort and the hire is strictly subject to availability for guests 21+ years.

There is an insurance excess of $2,000 on this vehicle in the event that the vehicle or any third party sustains damage. Some guests have hire car insurance excess cover with their travel insurance, so please check if this is the case for you.

Electric Bike Hire 

We also have brand new electric bikes which can be hired. These are a great way to see all of Broome and are lots of fun! They can be hired for $30 for a 24 hr period (generally 12pm to 12pm). Please come and see us or phone us to book.

You can lock these up overnight at your villa or tent or with the other bikes at the sea containers.

FREE Beach Bikes

We have a selection of free bikes to get you to the beach and back in between the two sea containers at the end of the main driveway. It is a first in, first served basis and you are welcome to help yourself to the bikes and helmets as you require. These are left outside all year (and replaced every year) so some may be better than others. Please satisfy yourself to the functionality of the bikes before setting off.

The CODE to the LOCKBOX for the bike keys is on the sea container wall by the bikes and is 5683

DVD Library

A selection of complimentary DVD’s and books are available and are kept in the Guest Laundry.

Housekeeping

Villas are serviced every 3 or 4 days for a stay of 7 days or more.  Please feel very welcome to request fresh towels and additional amenities at any time during your stay with Reception and additional servicing is available as required.

There may be an additional charge if daily housekeeping is requested.

Laundry

Laundry facilities are located in the building at the back of the pool and closest to the driveway. Complimentary powder is located by the washing machine. There is a dryer and are clothes racks available for you to take to your room, please help yourself.

You also have a pull out line in your outdoor shower area and pegs will be under your kitchen sink in the villas and in your bathroom vanity in the tents.

Lost Property

Is held for 6 weeks and if it remains unclaimed will be then donated to one of our local charity shops.

Tours

We offer a complimentary tour booking service at reception. Reception staff are more than happy to assist you with brochures, recommendations and enquiries. During November to March many tours are not operational however click here to for ideas on what to do and see whilst you are in Broome.

Rubbish

Please empty your rubbish regularly to avoid unwanted visitors. Rubbish bins are located in the carpark end of the guest laundry and also at the very front of the carpark.

Nespresso

A Nespresso machine is provided in each room for your convenience. There are some pods from local West Australian brewer – RUBRA in your tea/coffee caddie to get you started and then there are many which suit the machine available at Coles or Woolworths to keep you going.

Please supply your own milk to use with the milk frothers which is located in your pantry cupboard in the villas and on the bench in the tents. Please ensure these are cleaned immediately after each and every use so they don’t become rancid. It is best to wash them in the sink however they are also designed to be placed in the dishwasher (just the jug itself and not the electric component.

Security and Valuables

For security reasons, we advise you to keep your room locked at all times. It is advisable to keep your valuables with you or in the safe located in your villas and out of sight ie: not left on the main table in full view of the outside. The safe is located within the wardrobe space in Bedroom 1 of each villa, in the blanket boxes of The King Tents and in the front corner of the Queen Tents. The operating instructions are located on top of the safe.

Please Note: Items including money, valuables and goods brought into the villas remain the responsibility of guests. The Billi is not responsible for their safekeeping. Please ensure you lock your doors and use the safe provided in your villa.

For your safety and security all flyscreens on the villa louvred windows are security screens so feel free to leave the louvres open for airflow.

Fire

In the event of a fire or break-in please call 000 immediately. There is a fire extinguisher under the sink in all tents and villas. Please use this to put out small fires. The emergency evacuation point for the resort is at the main Billi sign by the roadway entrance to the resort. Please meet here in the event of an emergency. 

Maintenance 

Please notify us as soon as possible if you notice anything that needs attention. We would prefer to address issues while you are staying with us than learn of them when you leave to ensure you have the most enjoyable stay.

Cyclone Information

The cyclone season extends from November 1 to April 30. In the event of a cyclone, the Billi staff will monitor information and update you as required. 

Please ensure we have the best mobile phone number for you at reception as we will use this to update all guests in the event of an emergency or cyclone.
